Home Highlighting. There are highlighting kits available online. We DO NOT recommend them. Overgrown good highlights look better than bad highlights. And this won’t last forever. Pride 2020 #strongertogether 👑❤️🌈
The day we have been anticipating is here - both the mayor and the governor have confirmed that salons are allowed to begin to reopen on Monday, June 22nd! There is nothing I would love more than to throw open the doors of Wonderland and welcome your beautiful faces back, but I need a moment more to prepare our safe and re-imagined return. The physical studio will need some reconsidering, but more significantly the experience will. Wonderland will not operate like it did before -a bustling, sometimes crowded, always convivial place of community and camaraderie. The reinvented salon will be a simplified incarnation - and a more intimate and personal experience, more like a private atelier than ever before. While I continue to work through the particulars, your patience and trust are deeply appreciated. I will follow this up very soon with a more formal note detailing when our doors will be officially open (aiming for week of 6 July), a new process for scheduling appointments and what to expect once you arrive, but I wanted to give you advance notice that we are close to a beautiful reemergence from our chrysalis. Reassessing who we are and what we do has been transformative for me and I am excited to share what Wonderland will become with you very very soon. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL @wonderlandbeautyparlor

✨I'll have the #wonderlandbeautyparlor special! ✨ A #fbf and #gayhistorylesson on iconic restaurant Florent and Activist/NYC Restauranteur) --- Florent Morellet. ... Florent was an all-night diner and a hub of downtown culture in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan from 1985 until it closed in 2008 due to escalating rents. Notably, in 1987 Morellet was diagnosed HIV-positive began fearlessly posting his T-cell count on the restaurant's menu along with the daily specials in order to normalize and humanize HIV/AIDS. 🦄✨💖 During his time Morellet campaigned for the preservation of the neighborhood and became known as "Unofficial Mayor of the Meatpacking District" but he preferred the title the "Unofficial Queen." @m_r_angelo took this photograph of Florent as he closed the awning on the very last night that Florent was open. Michael and Wonderland Beauty Parlor owe a great deal to Florent and his eponymous restaurant. He is #inspiration. 👑💅🌈 #youarebeautiful

We are at the crossroads of #pride #blacklivesmatter and a pandemic. There is so much darkness right now, but there is also so much beauty. I see police officers helping protesters stay safe. I see people of color speaking out and being heard in a way that seemed impossible a week ago. I see healthcare workers and supermarket workers finally being valued and shown respect. I see rainbow flags rising above the embers of my burning city. And I see hope. Hope, that tomorrow will bring peace. Hope that we can somehow make it through this darkness and emerge a better world. Please never forget how beautiful you are, and don’t be afraid to let your true colors show. Just be kind and respectful. Lean in. Listen to people when they say they are hurting and scared. Believe them when they tell you that they need your support. Remember most people are terrified to ask for what they need. So be generous before you judge. Be thoughtful before you act. Most people are very good. Most people want their families and friends to be safe and healthy and prosperous. Let’s not forget that right now. We are stronger together. Happy Pride to everyone.
