Apprentices
In addition to a having a gusto for hair, our apprentices must be lovely and unique individuals with a willingness to learn and the ability to perform a flawless blowout!
Our goal is to teach our apprentices how to really see and understand hair: how it grows, how it moves, its color, its texture…so that Wonderland’s future stylists will be armed with the tools that they need to make the best style choices, and in turn and over time, define and develop their own creative aesthetic. We never hire apprentices that we could not foresee as working on the floor when their apprenticeship is complete.
Too often stylists are made to choose between specializing in either cutting or coloring when working for a luxury salon. It is our belief that talented stylists can excel at both color AND cut. We believe that forcing a stylist to focus on only one area can compromise the stylist’s artistic integrity and stifle creativity. (Of course if you prefer to dedicate yourself to perfecting one aspect of the creative process, that’s o.k., too!) We want our styling staff to be happy and to feel fulfilled professionally.
In return for your enthusiasm and hard work, we offer our apprentices:
*hands-on training for progression to the floor
*education through professional immersion as well as structured weekly classes
*exposure to editorial and runway work

Hairstylists
Stylists or Colorists – or candidates who enjoy and excel at both – with dedicated followings are always welcome to introduce themselves to us at Wonderland. In addition to possessing a following, candidates should be talented, friendly, neat, enthusiastic, and share our belief that beauty should be fun and accessible rather than intimidating and elitist. A passion for fashion is a plus.

Bookers
Our bookers must possess grace, charm, perfect diction, impeccable manners, and welcoming smiles to greet, schedule, and serve our guests. Must be available to work weekend shifts. Experience with Salon Transcripts booking program is a plus.
In return, our bookers:
*make money having fun (while still being the consummate professional, of course!)
*have really good hair days
